Business and project stays
Where to Stay in Bakirkoy When You Move to Istanbul for Work
If you're moving to Istanbul for work, or you're in town for a project lasting a few weeks or months, staying in a furnished apartment with a kitchen saves you time at the start: you can begin work without dealing with furniture and utility contracts, and carry on house-hunting without rushing. Our apartments in Zeytinlik, Bakırköy (Bakirkoy), are about an 8-minute walk from Marmaray Bakırköy station, a line that connects with transfers to many business districts on both the European and Asian sides.

The first week: setting up your working routine
- Test the connection: Wi-Fi is free. Try the connection on your first day, before an important video call; if there's a problem, tell us straight away.
- Pick a workspace: In the one-bedroom (1+1) and two-bedroom (2+1) apartments, the living room can be used as a daytime workspace. Tell us at booking if you need a desk.
- Settle your morning routine: Breakfast at home, then an 8-minute walk to the station. Try different departure times over the first few days.
- Plan the weekly shop: The market area is about 6 minutes away and Capacity shopping mall about 9 minutes.
- Find out the cleaning schedule: Apartments are cleaned regularly; agreeing the days up front stops them clashing with your working hours.
- Plan for post and paperwork: If you're expecting work deliveries or documents, ask us in advance how delivery is handled. Address: Zeytinlik Mahallesi, Fazılpaşa Sokak No:4, 34140 Bakırköy / İstanbul.
The advantage of an apartment while you house-hunt
Finding a permanent home when you move to Istanbul can take time. Staying in an apartment in the meantime:
- Lets you start straight away in a place that is furnished, has a kitchen and comes with internet.
- Gives you the chance to get to know Bakırköy and the Marmaray line by living here, and to see for yourself the neighbourhoods you might house-hunt in.
- Offers flexibility to extend your stay as needed; extensions depend on availability and should be requested early.
- Makes things easier if you arrive with suitcases and moving boxes, thanks to the lift in the building.
For planning a longer stay, take a look at our monthly stay guide.
Evenings and weekends
Getting used to the city after a busy work week matters too. There are cafés and restaurants around Bakırköy Freedom Square (Özgürlük Meydanı) and İstanbul Caddesi, and the Bakırköy seafront and İDO ferry pier is about 14 minutes away for an evening walk. At the weekend you can take the Marmaray down to Sirkeci in about 20 minutes and explore the historic peninsula, or plan a short trip by sea to Yalova or Bursa from the İDO ferry pier; check the current timetable for sailings.
